Thurrock Garden Centre is a large independent Garden Centre in Essex employing approximately 35 staff.
As a longstanding supplier of Thurrock Garden Centre, Kingfisher was approached with a view to suppling a new range of uniform. As they were undergoing a process of rebranding, they wanted a new uniform to compliment this change.
The brief dictated that the uniform must be hardwearing and stylish and in keeping with the colours of their new branding. Whilst they wanted their staff to stand out, they wanted to move away from the traditional ‘bottle green’ look used by most garden centres. They wanted to achieve this unique uniform look for both male and female staff without the hassle and expense of ordering truly bespoke garments.
In keeping with the colours of their new branding, Kingfisher recommended a core range of fuchsia pink garments. The challenge was to find a suitable range of apparel in this colour in both male and female styles. Samples were sent to Thurrock Garden Centre for evaluation and the chosen range consisted of the following products, most including an embroidered Thurrock Garden Centre logo: Polo Shirt │ V-neck Sweatshirt │ Softshell Jacket │ Bodywarmer │ Microfleece Jacket │ Beanie Hat │ Cargo Trouser │ Shirt/Blouse and Apron (for restaurant staff)
The fuchsia pink polos and shirts/blouses were combined with a practical lightweight but durable cargo style trouser in black, to complete the uniform. Thurrock Garden Centre were so impressed with Kingfisher’s service that they asked us to source a uniform for their restaurant which, consisting of shirts/blouses and aprons, was also well received.
The overall result was a vibrant and coherent uniform that Thurrock Garden Centre staff are happy to wear and that gives the garden centre a modern and professional feel.
